Qsel

Qsel gives you the possibility of running frequently used applications at a moment's notice from a small central launcher. It lets you add any application and it provides you with some good customization options. As a result, you can keep your desktop and your task bar clean. Whenever you need to launch your usual applications, you will be able to find their shortcuts neatly organized on a small panel.

The software works on all popular Windows platforms and you can have it up and running in no time, since it doesn't need to be installed. It doesn't use a significant amount of disk space, RAM or processing power and you don't have to install any prerequisite tools.

Qsel's configuration menu will show up when you launch the application for the first time. The menu has everything you need to add applications to your launcher. Selecting an executable is sufficient, but you can also add parameters and set the software to run the program normally, minimized or maximized. At this point, you can click the "New Item" to add a new application to the list.

Besides adding shortcuts, you can also add separators, if you have more than one type of application. Alternatively, you can create a new category with different applications. Once you close the configuration menu, the software will bring up the launched panel on your screen. All the shortcuts you've added can be found on this panel and you can launch them immediately by double clicking their icons. If you have more than one category set up, you can switch between them on the fly.

Qsel places a few good customization possibilities at your disposal. It lets you change the font and background color on the launcher window, make it transparent and remove its title bar, to make it fit better on a modern desktop. Of course, you can also move the panel anywhere on the screen and resize it by clicking and dragging.
